Welcome after long (almost 3 months) break. I hope that some of you still remembers me. I was absent dew to Biological Expedition to Antarctic. I came buck on last Friday. The photo is dedicated to all treknature members – a great community of great people. Very best wishes to all of you.

The South Shetland Islands are a group of 62 islands, situated in Western Antarctica lying about 120 kilometres north of the Antarctic Peninsula. King George Island (Argentina: Isla 25 de Mayo, Chile: Isla Rey Jorge, Russian historical name - Vaterlo (Waterloo)) is the largest of the South Shetland Islands, situated at 62°23′S, 58°27′W, 120 kilometers off the coast of Antarctica in the Southern Ocean. The Island was named after King George III.

Admiralty Bay is a fiord like in nature. It consists of a central basin and 3 inner fiords (inlets) Martel Inlet, MacKellar Inlet and Ezcurra Inlet. Since 1996 Admiralty Bay is a Antarctic Specially Protected Area (ASMA No1).

On the photo you can see the inner part of the Ezcurra Inlet behind the rocky Island Dufayel. It was a rely incredible day. After many hours of bad stormy weather the clouds started to disappear. The water and sky changed from gray and dark to fantastic blue, green. It was an amazing theater of light and shadows. The shot was taken from the board of Russian ship Polar Pioneer.

You can see also another point of view in my workshop.

Hi Krzysztof.
What a long time you are absent here but your returning is great. Hear words of note and amazing shot. Bravo and welcome again.

Your choice of subject is simply wonderful. Perfect view. You managed to compose and crop image greatly. Lights and a bit shadowed water, fluffy clouds, razor sharpness of the ocean and mountains are looked wonderfully. My congratulations and warm (In direct and figurative sense) wishes.

No witam witam!!

Ooooooo, cos niesamowitego!! Inny swiat zupelnie - ta biel, ta czystosc, i pewnie ten mroz tez :-) Bardzo podoba mi sie kompozycja - niebo/chmury/woda i poszarpane ksztalty skal. Po twojej opowiesci powialo Arkady Fiedlerem i naszymi wielkimi zeglarzami. To musialy byc niezapomniane trzy miesiace!

This is somewhere I really want to go. Wonderful landscape shot, excellent exposure and stunning colours. Wonderful

Jeszcze raz ja.
To zdjęcie też mi się bardzo podoba. Technicznie bez zarzutu. No i jeszcze fajnie widać jak się chnury oddalają i ląd jest jeszcze za lekką mgłą.
Kolory świetne i notka też.

Hi Krzysztof,
That must have been an awesome expedition. I am sure you learned a lot and made some extreemly wonderful photos. At least you started of with a really stunning one. You really captured the harsh landscape with fine details and perfect exposure. The cloud formation and the light is really beautiful. Great work on the composition.

Hi Krzysztof,
A magic landscape and continent, no doubt. I likle composition, simple but effective, with the cold clouds between land and sea. This one gives me more cold sensation, we have some chill day here, but suely not as cold as Antartica...
