Adelie Penguin feeding her chick on King George Island.

This is end of breeding season, chicks are almost the same size as adults and finally they are losing their "fluffy costumes". In this time it is hard time for parents they are going every day to prey in ocean for krill. Antarctic krill can grow to a length of 6 cm (weigh up to 2 g). This small animals are shrimp-like invertebrates, they are a key species in the Antarctic ecosystem. Adelie, Gentoo and Chinstrap penguin diet is almost 100% of krill.

Piotr, this is really amazing.

Excellent exposure, so that the whites and the blacks can be fully seen. Besides, great sharpness, composition and contrast.
