[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of the most striking irises growing in E Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan and N Iran. Its difficult to photograph because of the bright upper parts and the dark lower ones. In many books the name of this species is Iris iberica, but the Armenian botanists seperated it in "Flora Arminii" as a seperate species with the most appropriate name Iris elegantissima (the elegant iris).

Hello Ori,
Very impressive capture of this fabulous Iris.
You've coped really well with the contrasts in colour and details are very sharp showing the interesting patterns and very beautiful colours. I like the grey colour of the leaves too. I also like the natural background.
Many thanks and regards, Ulla

Hello Ori
You've captured a uniquely coloured Iris. It's great to see them in their natural environment. Excellent details, soft lighting and well composed. Very beautiful.

Another excellent shot. Thanks for sharing.

You photographed it beautifully... perfectly! It is a gorgeous iris that I have never seen. I live among huge iris bulb farms but have seen nothing a pretty as this wild variety. When I scroll the image up, taking just a bit off the top of the image I think the iris feels more comfortable : )

Oh my! Iris is my favorite flower, and yet I've never seen one as beautiful as this. I think you photographed it well, showing off it's light and dark parts to their best. Well done.
