[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was very lucky the day before yesterday to capture two new species (to me): the Conmander and the White-edged Blue Baron. So I'm going to show you the latter today. Unfortunately it was perching at a high branch of a tree where it was sucking flowers of some climbing plants. But fortunately I had a zoom lens on my camera, so I was able to catch it large enough in the pic. However, I could not take a good point of view.
I find this species looks quite similar to the Baron except for the thick white band across either of the tip of its upperside wings.
According to my study, this is a female. The male has a white band on either of its upperside wings, forming a white curve shape at the hind wing edges.

Some more information from the Wikipedia:
The White-Edged Blue Baron, Euthalia phemius, is a species of butterfly of the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Sikkim, Assam, Burma, Southern China and Hong Kong.

Hello John,
Your zoom lens did a spectacular job for you this time. I really like the pose which is something a bit different then we are used to viewing. Focus is spot on the money and overall composition is very eye pleasing. Great job John!!
