Hi Haraprasan!

Fantastic details and sharpness, Very interesting macro of this unknown fly;), well done!

In a cute sort of way I like Gannu's explanation. It is or are folks such as commoners like me who at times must see the word normal used:-) I am lousy at Latin...and I mean BAD...but ID no...a great ID image though. Perhaps the clarity of this close in will get some attention. Very well done HP!

Hi Haraprasan,

How in the world did you get such a sharp shot of this fly. I haven't seen one this clearly even if it's sitting on my arm. Fantastic macro - I love the eye.

Excellent use of flash to eliminate any shadows and render the BG totally black.
Excellent composition and low-down POV.
Great DOF.

Well done,

Excepcional imagen con una iluminación muy particular, llamativa y bien realizada. Fabulosos detalles y buena posición del insecto. Un gran trabajo.

Hello Haraprasan,

Very good sharp picture of this fly. It is definitely not a snipe fly. I will try to find what it is but I have not time for now. Very nice light and colours too.

PS: probably belongs to the sarcophagidae family, sarcophaga sp.

Hello Haraprasan
Another excellent shot from you. The POV and composition are splendid, and the great sharpness and details will surely help to identify the specimen though probably it would have been better a sight from above for the id.
Yet this one is more artistic and beautiful.
Congratulations and TFS
