Today I dedicate this to Radek (Radomir Jaskula) cicindella. Saying thankyou very much Radek for the beautiful dedication.

I don't know why these two different species of crabs were fighting. But in the end I came to know the larger one was hunting the smaller one. After some time the larger one cut out one leg of the smaller one and at the end took the smaller one to its burrow.

Thankyou very much for viewing.

Hello Haraprasan!
What an interesting and original picture! Crustaceans are so rarely presented in TN gallery! And I am very honoured by this dedication, many thanks! :>
According to your observation, it is really interesting to know that these 2 were fighting, and that one of them was a food at the end. Well, that is Nature and we can only observe how the life is going on :)
Once again many thanks for dedication :)
Best greetings from Lodz my Friend!
Radek

PS. If you agree I would like to add this picture to theme "Crustacean of the world" :>

Hello Hara,
An excellent capture of two rivalling (dancing?:))) crabs shown from a fine POV and sharpness against the camouflaging wet sandy BG.
A fine tribute to our friend Radomir and thanks for sharing it,
Ivan

Rough play among family eh HP? Perhaps an older sibling with a bad attitude...or the Black Widow syndrome in other ways...ah well. A good observation and a fine dedication. I have seen crabs such as these. As a matter of fact I have some old, old 8mm film which I took in the 1950's of these types of creatures...Very good in getting the creatures to stick out in their native environs without losing them in the sand..

Namstay Hara,
This is a fantastic image!
I've never seen a crabfight before, but you've captured it perfectly with great colour and excellent sharpness.
Very nice work.
Cheers
Steve

Excelente enfoque y profundidad. Buena habilidad para captar esos difíciles colores y texturas que se confunden con la arena. Realismo !!
Gran belleza del conjunto.

Hi Haraprasan,

This must be the first crab fight on TN! Great timing to get this one. They are camouflaged so well in the sand yet you have allowed them to stand out very well. Wonderful colors and excellent details. A really unusual and excellent shot.

Jane

Hi Haraprasan..
Interesting fight and you did good catch...Eyes look horrible to me sorry..
Having said that, excellent natural composition..
Well done.

Leyla

Hello Haraprasan, superb perfect macro shot of these crabs in competition. TFS.
Regards,
Deniz

Hi HP,
Great use of flash to help bring out some great details, even with the complete camouflage..
Are you sure they are fighting, looks more like dancing to me :)
Well done,
Howard

Hi Haraprasan,

This almost fully camouflaged image of crabs in action. Well taken, only if you could get the whole series in action and present it, would have been great.TFS.

Hi Haraprasan!

Very interesting picture. I like POV, all scene is well visible and subjects are detailed. It looks like scene from an old japanese movies with Godzilla :-)

Hello Prasan,
How are you!!
Many thanks for this wonderful sharing on Crabs fight!
the image is very sharp with lovely details and the exposure is good!
best regards
tony

I thought I would go to the first picture of the series, HP.
I am amazed that Crabs, fighting or not, can look so beautiful.
The colours on both of them are subtle.
Even the sand has certain colours that match with the crabs.
Wonderful work!
Ram

Namastay, once more, Haraprasan,
This is indeed a "dog eat dog" world; the survival of the fittest.
GREAT composition.
With "fond" greetings,
Mario.
