Today I dedicate this to Howard. Yes they were in a big fight and you can clearly see here the 1st half break in the wrestling competition for life. Later this poor fella was dragged into the ground by the large one. Thank you very much for viewing.

Ciao Haraprasan,

Hello Hara,
A fine capture of a crab without his left claw taken from a fine POV and sharp against the wet sand.
We have two active Howards on TN and this would be a fine tribute to them both, but Howard Cheek has been with TN longer than any of us.
Thanks for sharing this image showing the hazards of Nature.

Wonderful macro shot Haraprasan. TFS. Regards,

Hello Haraprasan,
Great shot of this crab species with wonderful details.

Hi Haraprasan,
Perfect close-up capture of this stalked-eyed crab species. TFS.

HP! A question for you..I have little time to do a net search but since you seem to know from having posted this image...what happens now with this creature? Does it continue a semi normal average life? Or does it die soon? Or does an appendage grow in for replace? A very interesting and sharp image which almost brings more questions:-) Sorry..I do like the image. I hope I am not a bother in my wondering...

Hello HP,
I must admit when I saw the title I was flabbergasted. God forbid I would be the reason someone lost their hand! ;-}
Thanx for the dedication mf.
Still has one hand left then..
He might not feel like dancing, but he can still pick up a camera :)

Good POV and DOF, Haraprasan.
Well composed...

Hi Haraprasan,

How sad! A wonderful shot of this wounded crab with marvelous details and natural colors. A nice dedication to Howard - hopefully he doesn't think you are hinting that he is a crab :-)

Hi Haraprasan

Excellent macro of this little fighter. Such is life...when you wrestle with the bigger ones you can expect to be eaten. Can one say, "Nice eye contact" when it is a wee little big-eyed crab? Excellent detail and spot-on DOF and lighting.

Well done and TFS.

Hi Haraprasan

A very beautiful shot of this cute crab!
I've always loved this type of crab and felt that they look quite funny with those big eyes standing so clear from the body. You have captured it well here, from this frontal POV and made sure that the entire body is the rage of your DOF.
Maybe a bit lower would have made those gorgeous eyes stand our even better, but it's nice even so.

Cheers and TFS

Nice and sad story. Yes - a good work too.
