|i found this butterfly at the Botanical Garden, in Shivpur. it was a tiny one. i am not sure about its correct ID. though it resembles to a Common Tit Butterfly (Hypolycaena erylus teatus), i have confusion about its dark brown under-wing.|
any idea would be of much help. am listening.
thanks to Nigel Deacon for helping me in getting the correct ID of this butterfly.
yes, this is a Slate Flash butterfly from the family 'Lycaenidae'.

Ruby, your butterfly is a "Slate Flash" Rapala manea. This is a nicely taken image of this tiny butterfly, with all the important areas sharp. Although there is an overall yellow tint to the image, much of this will be from the light reflected from the flower head.
As a resource for identifying Indian butterflies, I would recommend the link below.

Beautiful species, well captured except for that bit of color cast..tfs.
Fabulous capture of this little Butterfly my good friend, superb sharpness with good detail and clarity, splendid lighting, although a slight yellow tint is evident here Ruby a well deserved accolade from me and worthy of many more, great effort and very well done,
