this peacock was located by our forest guide Manoj... in Garumara reserve forest during our early morning jungle safari. we were in our open gypsy looking for bisons... and then we found this peacock seated on the top branch of a tall tree at quite far in midst of the forest. the early morning golden sunlight was falling on its feathers... falling on everything around us. it was such a beauty!

peacocks in that forest preferred spending their nights like that. just to stay safe away from cheetahs. this peacock also had his night on that tree and was enjoying the morning light (making calls too). it was October, quite cold at that time.

what amazed me was the idea of keeping safe existence! survival of the fittest, wasn't that the line? and i also wonder how much he had to fly to go to that height of the tree! i had seen a peacock flying in that forest only, but this much?!... i had no idea before. :)
