[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
before i start, i would like to thank Abid (Hussain58), nagraj.v (nagraj), Peter (PeterZ) and of course, Steve (cuckooroller) for helping me in getting the correct ID of this bird.
**************************************************************
this photograph is a continuation of my previous post. i basically don't like to post on same species consecutively. but this time i couldn't resist sharing the happiness. i have uploaded it to get different views and moods of this beautiful black bird.. and on request from our friend, Nagraj... once again :)
this is a photograph of Jungle Myna (Acridotheres fuscus) which belongs to the family 'Sturnidae'.
to be particular this is an Acridotheres fuscus fuscus [thanks to Steve Pryor].
in India, this particular subspecies can be seen.. mainly.. in the central and southern parts.
apart from in India, this bird can be seen in Bangladesh, Pakistan, eastern Burma, Indonesia... in short, in tropical southern Asia.
Information
NB: pls check the workshop for other two interesting moods of this bird. |
