Common Indian Crow Butterfly
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is a Common Indian Crow butterfly (Euploea core). I found this butterfly on 11th March, 2012... in the Chintamani Kar Bird Sanctuary, near Kolkata.
The sanctuary is full of these butterflies... but they hardly sit with wings open! In that way, it was a satisfactory catch to me :)
I just don't remember on how many days i had visited the sanctuary... can't count for how many hours.. everyday... i had been roaming around inside it...
it was a part of my happiness... i have learnt so much from this priceless garden...
Am going to miss my sanctuary a lot (sigh) |

Hello Ruby,
A nice centred composition and a fine color-combination. The pose of this Common Crow butterfly was not ideal, may be if you had moved slightly towards the right you had a better point of view. Lovely background too.
Thanks and kind regards
Anne

hey, Ruby, why lament your parting with the Sanctuary? i was under the impression you lived in Kol, btw. anyway, nature will always be there wherever you are!
this is a good shot of a Common Crow. the subject looks luminous.
