this is a Brown Skipper Butterfly. in general, yes. but all of us know very well, that a difference in a single dot or pattern in the wings can lead a butterfly to another type. so, am very curious to know the 'exact' ID of this butterfly.
waiting for your help...

till then, the story. i found this beautiful, shining Skipper butterfly in Suntaleykhola. to be particular, in the garden of the Nature Camp, where we had stayed. that trip will always remain a true experience to me. people, if possible, must visit Suntaleykhola. it's rich in birds, herbs and insects. it is in the district of Darjeeling and extremely remote except in May-June (during summer vacation), in October (during Puja vacation) and in the last week of December.

also better if you avoid going there in monsoon.. until and unless you are after something which can be found (in plenty) in rainy season. for example, leeches?! :D
ah, here i would like to add something... Suntaleykhola, if visited in rain, is rich in different varieties of leeches too. am not kidding. fact.
[ i still can't come out of the impact of seeing a beautiful 'black-golden yellow' leech on the day after a moderate night-long rain. before that i had no idea leeches could be that much beautiful!! ]
