This is one more picture of mountains from my native place. I took it a day after my arrival home. The weather was at its best after a day of heavy rain in the valley and light snow at higher reaches. October is a bit too early for snowfall even at high altitude, so I was more than pleased to see the snow-covered range to the east of my village bathed in the bright afternoon sunshine.

As I have mentioned several times earlier with the pictures of this region, these are actually low height Pir Panjal ranges originating from Kashmir and extending a bit into Himachal Pradesh.
Hope you find this vista interesting.

Thanks for looking and have a fun-filled day!

Hello Ram,
This picture looks really like "home" for me. It is amazing how close this landscape is to Valais. The fallen snow makes the landscape appear magical and I see that even the clouds like to play with these white summits. Beautiful mountain-light all over the area.

Cannot help feeling envious. What a lovely place. You are right about the perfect weather. Bright Sunlight, clear blue skies, well-defined clouds, light blue aerial haze and snow clad Himalays. What else would we need to make a perfect picture like this one. Great framing with Pir Panjal in the front.

Hello Ram,
Beautiful capture of this magnificent landscape. Beautiful light and colours.Good sharpness. Waiting for other superb pictures of these superb mountains.
Best regards Siggi

Hello Ram,
Wonderful image my friend, this is a grand vista.
Technically excellent, all the parameters in line.
Another version would crop about 10% off the top, giving more of a panoramic comp..
Just a thought :)
Very well done,

Hello Ram,
A beautiful view of this spectacular mountain range.
As I have often said before, this could so very easily be somewhere near here.
Mountains look so similar the world over,as do pine forests.(If this pine forest was in New Zealand though,it would be a planted one,as our natural pines are a very different shape)
Beautiful image my friend.
Thanks for sharing.

What a great mountainscape, Ram, I love the pov letting us plunge into the folds of the mountain, the lines concentrating at the bottom left. The colours are superb, and it is surprising to see the clouds touching the tip of the mountains... those clouds are usually standing high in the sky. Thank you my friend!

My legs are tired and swollen just from looking at this..I feel like a kid in a large amusement park..too many place in this image in which I would love to trek but suffice to say that at my age, seeing you fine shot is about as close as I shall get!

Hello Ram !
This is one wonderful picture from you I missed, and I'm really sorry about it because I love to see landscapes with mountains. Must have been great to stand there and look a this mighty sighting. I love the composition, the POV and the very natural colors, and I also like the contrast between the wooded mountain in the FG and the snowy heights in the BG. Very well done !
