Friends, many of us are fascinated by the sight of water drops clinging to things after a shower of rain. Depending on our point of view at that given moment of time, we see some unusual phenomenon of nature at play and capture it with a camera.
Our friend Sabine on TN is an exceptionally perceptive recorder of such phenomena. We have seen some of her water drop pictures that make us sit up with wonder and admiration.

Today I too am posting a water drop picture I took while taking an evening stroll on the long ridge on which my village is situated in a remote corner of Himachal Pradesh, India. Monsoon showers had lashed the area during the day, but the clouds had lifted in the afternoon.
I noticed this spherical formation of rain water resting in the depression on a long leaf of a vine that grows wild in our area. Something struck me as unusual and I stopped in my tracks. I saw that whereas the rest of the vegetation was totally free from moisture, only this fairly sizable ball of water stood poised on a totally dry leaf. I had my camera with me, so I promptly took a few shots.
I took many water drop pictures during the monsoon season I was in India, but this, in my opinion, stands out as an interesting case study.
If you look carefully, it reflects a partially cloudy sky.
Thanks for indulging me.

Hi Ram,
Who knows why there is just one big drop of water! I have no idea about what kind of physical phenomenon is under this isolated sphere. In any case a good subject to shot with great details, lovely colors and good reflections.
