[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here is a picture of a Purple Sapphire from my archives of 2009. It was taken at my native place Chamba in Himachal Pradesh. It was late February and the spring season had already started showing signs of its presence.
The shot was taken hand-held from a distance of about one metre. The morning light was bright and difficult.

The Purple Sapphire (Heliophorus epicles) is a small butterfly found in India that belongs to the Lycaenids or Blues family.

Thanks for looking.

Chambra offers some fine little beauties Ram.
This is a nice capture of this Lycaenid butterfly, taken in difficult lighting that was well managed to give the butterfly a nice ouline without preventing the display of the details
taken from a fine POV with excellent sharpness and natural colours in a perfect composition against the clean dark BG.
Thanks and my best regards to you,
