[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been posting pictures I took on February 25, 2009 and here is another one. That day, I was on a long trek in the mountains of my native place in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh. While climbing uphill, I walked along a little stream and stopped from time to time to watch the water flow and to listen to the murmuring sound it produced. Tennyson's famous poen The Brook kept ringing in my mind as I stood, watched and heard. That is why this caption to the picture.

The picture was pretty dark, shot at aperture value 22. The exposure time of 25 did not give me the cascading water effect since I had no tripod and had to try it hand-held. Juggling levels on PS CS5, I finally settled for this version.
Hope it is not too artificial.

Hi Ram.
I think you can get a very impressive picture of the water stream. Details of the scene at whole are great especially the reproduction of cold wet surface of the rocks and so cold stream too. Framing of the scenery is perfect as well as selected POV. Transparency of the image is exceptional too. My compliments and TFS.
Alexei.

Ciao Ram. Fascinating flow effect and very good POV to exalt the perspective.

Roberto

Hello Ram,
Very fine title and picture. I go on for ever..it will survive us, this brook. It's a place where we can relaxe and stay for a long time. And your shot is very natural and I almost have the feeeling to hear the water jabber..
Very pleasant shot.
Thanks and kind regards
Annr

Hello Ram,
No, not too artificial. What is artificial anyway? You have artist's license and you are the only one who can decide what you want to do. I can say what I do not like but I must be very careful should I try and tell you what you should have done. Well, there is absolutely nothing that I do not like here. A beautiful close-up of this rapid with a lovely sense of movement and excellent quality. A joy to behold. Well done and best wishes.
