|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|This species mainly hunts large insects, earthworms, rodents, snakes, fish and frogs. In captivity, it has been noted that it rarely drinks water although bathing regularly.|
The photo had the potential, technically almost everything's OK (except for a little soft focus on the bird), but the composition doesn't work with this inappropriate cropping. Too central, the negative space is behind and not in front of the kingfisher - simply unpleasant to the eyes, at least with this crop. If you compose the posing bird to the right third of the pic, or you choose a vertical composition with the head in the upper third, this might be an excellent image. Maybe next time!
Best regards, László
hi diya...nice try. after a long time you posted this pic.
Hi , Good attempt! The colors are good , exposure is little off ( underexposed) also the composition could have been better ( usually the space towards the direction of the bird's view should have been greater). I do not believe the subject has to be bold in the picture , so i do not want to comment on the size, but the pic is also bit soft.
I Hope you do not mind my critic
