Yellow & Blue Sonki
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Missed TN for the last 2 weeks. Putting up a colourful composition here today to wish all of you a Very Happy New Year ahead.
The yellow flower here is the Yellow Sonki or Graham's groundsel or Senecio grahamii a native of Western ghats of India. Sonki is a gregarious plant of the Western Ghats which makes a splash during its mass flowering with the advent of monsoons
The small blue one is the Blue Sonki or Adenoon indicum, occasionally found in grasslands at high elevations on Western Ghats.
The butterfly is of course the Common Grass Yellow, Eurema hecabe.
The picture was taken on the mountains of the Western Ghats of India. ISO used was 800. |
