Duke's Nose: Dedicated to Bob Shannon
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
A dedication to Bob Shannon for the kind of photography he prefers. It's modified to give a lithographic touch.
Duke's Nose stands 12 km from Lonavla, clearly visible from the highway while driving towards Mumbai. This is the finest landmark in Khandala and is popular with hikers. The cliff owes its name to the Duke of Wellington, whose famous and ample nose it resembles. |

How unusual...I had just been reading of this not too long ago. Thanks so much for this Subhash. You are a kind and gentle warrior in medicine and photography. Sometimes your wonderful works get over looked, but I am always here to appreciate them.
Bob
A very interesting rock shape and that too associated with the nose of a famed personality, Subhash :-).
I identify the nose up-side-down; is there any special Gestalt involved here?
Very nice image, indeed.
TFS and regards.
