Today's Moon; Nov 19th 2010
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Took this shot today with the help of my latest acquisition Skywatcher telescope & my brilliant son, Harsh Ranjan. It's not easy as I used to think. Moon moves fast and a small shake while clicking spoils the entire image. I kept on looking for remote devices which could trigger the event without camera shake. However, this is the final result with manual efforts. Would attempt sometime with remote device.......|
Dedicated to my all TN friends with season's greetings :)
Note:This day happens to be the birthday of beloved Mrs. Indira Priyadarshini Gandhi (Hindi: इंदिरा प्रियदर्शिनी गांधी Indirā Priyadarśinī Gāndhī; 19 November 1917 – 31 October 1984) was the Prime Minister of the Republic of India for three consecutive terms from 1966 to 1977 and for a fourth term from 1980 until her assassination in 1984, a total of fifteen years. She is India's only female prime minister to date. She is the world's all time longest serving female Prime Minister.

Beautiful fresh capture Subhash.
The craters are very well defined and love the tone against the muted sky. You have unlocked the key to capturing the moon.
Thanks for sharing and regards.
This is the best Moon image I have ever seen on TN, Dr Subhash. With the aid of telescope, you have succeeded in showing us the craters on the Moon surface with utmost clarity.
Well done and TFS.
Your latest toy (with your son's able help) achieved a great image of today's moon.
this is a rare picture. Splendid sharpness. We can see many details. Congratulations,
Very detailed shot of the moon. I would certainly wait for your next shot, hopefully of a full moon.
