Indian Violet Tarantula (Chilobrachys fimbriatus). It is a species of Tarantula from Indian forests.Mainly lives in dunes or udner rocks. Feeds on small insects, geckos etc. Here I'm showing its attacking pose.

I could not find the camera or exposure information to comment on this macro.It has a good POV but DOF appears to be a bit off.At which place did you take this snap.The spider appears to be on the defensive.
