[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On our first ride through Tadoba Tiger reserve, we were blessed by this sighting of this tigress in her prime and her cubs. The region was going through a drought like situation due to the failure of last years monsoons. In spite of the hardships,thanks to the healthy prey base , the tigress is successfully raising this litter of four cubs(only two seen in this image). Since the natural waterholes dry up, the animals rely on concrete"saucers" made by the forest department during the hot summers. These are filled daily.
Thankfully , the region received more than normal rains this year.
