This is for you Ori, one who makes superb and artful use of fill in flash for his plant and flower photos. I tried the same here under cloudy and windy conditions.

The flower here is Cyanotis Tuberosa. Its a endemic flower from the Western ghats of India flowering at the end of the monsoons.

The photo was taken at Kas Pathar (Kaas Plateau), which has recently been declared one of the 37 Bio diversity World Heritage site in the hugely bio diverse Western ghats of India. This is a 1000 hectare mountain plateau, which has one of the highest diversity and density of flowers and plants found in the western ghats a lot of them endemic, rare and endangered.

In the background you can see Impatiens oppositifolia flowers in full bloom.
