This particular butterfly is seen in plenty almost all places in India. They are found almost through out the year. In male butterflies the upper part of the wing is violotish blue in colour. And for females it is brownish blue.
The caterpillar is green with brown markings and the pupa is green in colour. Usually both the caterpillar and the pupa are seen surrounded by ants.
