Locust is the swarming phase of short-horned grasshoppers of the family Acrididae. The origins and an apparent extinction of certain species of locust—some of which reached 6 inches (15 cm) in length—are unclear.

These are species that can breed rapidly under suitable conditions and subsequently become gregarious and migratory. They form bands as nymphs and swarms as adults — both of which can travel great distances, rapidly stripping fields and greatly damaging crops.

Hello Ganesh,
Very fine macro of this green grasshopper, showing well against the brown gravel with good sharpness and from a fine POV.
Your title has started me thinking and I posed the question as to whether any creature is ecologically green?
The answer is that all creatures are green if they are confined by the ecological balance of the environment. Modern man has disrupted, and is continuing to disrupt, the ecological balance on this planet. So Homo sapiens is definitely not green. Reason? Mostly greed.
TFS this green beauty,

Hello Ganesh

A very good pov with sharp detail and focus.
The colours are vibrant and well saturated.
Well illumnated.

Hello Ganesan!
This one is perfectly adopted to grassy are I believe, but here is presented without camouflage - but with very nice colours and contrast (according to the sandy BG). I like natural light and good sharpness :)
Best regards,
