Smitha,
Not sure whether to appreciate the picture or the comment. As per your wish, I join you in supporting Sumon, Howard, Rob and Joe.
This is a comment not a critique.

I don't know anything about the things you are discussing in your note but I understand that something bad has happend.
I just want you to know that I think your photo of this woodpecker is exquisite in my eyes. I sure hope I get the opportunity to see one of the one day and maybe get a photo like this.
All I know is that nothing remains the same and we are in the middle of the flow called life. The only thing we can do is to try to navigate in the stream and try to be a positive force in the life of others.
I salute you, best regards/Bengt

Even I am not sure. If god gives you a chance for correction and reason why not TN. I am not sure what happened but I totally agree with you. TN gave me friends like you/goutham/murali/ram sir/pankaj/sumon/joey and this is crazy. It is better to discuss and ask them for clarification. I hope things get resolved soon. yes I would like to see Sumon/Howard/Rob/Joe back on the TN. We are all not above God. TN should give a chance for correction... Ganesh

Hi Smitha,
First of all I am new to TN, but have been enjoying my visit every time, though havent really tagged on whats happening, whos in whos out. I have been doing this purely for my passion towards pictures of nature and continue to do so, irrespective of comments/critics/points nothing should be taken personal. I wish we all are birds of same feather and flock to-gether.I wish you all the best in your endeavours.
Well composed and colourfull picture of golden backed woodpecker. TFS

Hi Smitha,
It has been long time no see [online posting of your shots :)]. You were the first to critique in my photos, not here but on TE, on the very first submission of mine. I saw a thread right now that you are engaged with some school and become irregular on TN.
Now, about the photograph I can say it is as good as any other black rumped flameback you have posted earlier.
Yesterday, I critiqued, one ariel photo by Selen Ediger that was dedicated to the same set of four people. Usually I mark the dedication note as useful, without paying much heed to it [bad habit].
But, while casually going through your note, I found that both of you somehow resented some executive decision from administrators' part. While going through the remarks I saw there is also a note of dissent amongst the users.
Now can you please illuminate me about this!
Amongst the four persons in question two of them I know very well over here and that they are very encouraging to me, an outright average mortal snap-shooter. Since both of you have dedicated things to the rest two, I do not question their photographic quality either.
This is only a comment, Hope you won't mind a big smiley here.

Hi Smitha,
Excellent capture of this very beautiful and colourful woodpecker species. Very nice pose and composition, the position of the head makes it special, sharp details and bright natural colours. It would deserve full points. I will give full negative points to the Administrator.

Hi Smitha
Excellent portrait of the flameback (is this the black-rumped?). The multi-hued BG looks especially nice.

Forgot to critique this one, Smitha.
Probably I missed the Add button:-).
Here we are...
Colourful pecker.
I wonder if they have never pain in their neck. Here it is a 180° turn...I tried this and I managed to get more or less 90° and it hurts:-)

Hello Smitha,
This is superb!
A great close capture of a Lesser Golden-backed woodpecker taken from a fine POV in a great pose with fine sharpness against an OOF natural BG.
This makes it a suitable tribute to our friends that I hope will return to TN as I miss them too.
Thanks for sharing this beauty,
Best regards to you and Anil,
Ivan

Excellent image of a gorgeous bird.
I just joined this site and am at a total loss about the whole turmoil issue. Just hope things settle down. Till then, just a tad disappointed at the lack of response to my few meager postings to date.

hi Smitha
A fine capture of the colorful bird at a great pose with a good tilt of head and really focus sharpness to show the detail of the bird.
I am amazed at your choice of 1/15s although there is no blur! Great work. It deserves smileys but at your request I am unable to show my reward for my 1st critique here.

Hi Smitha,
thankyou greatly for your kind words.
For some members TN has gone into turmoil all in the matter of a day!
I will be on a break from TN for about a month before considering to come back... this is a great place and I will lose many brilliant friends if I leave so I doubt I'll be gone forever.
Thankyou for all your help Smitha.
Keep in touch...
Joe
