[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have enjoyed the landscapes photography last week. The 10-20 mm lens was finally used for landscapes and it was a great experience for sure.

This shot has been captured by using Nikon D80 along with Sigma wide angle lens handheld.

I liked the cloudy sky and the muddy water and tried this capture.

Critiques and comments are most welcome.

Hello Pankaj,
This looks like a vast area of sand together with lush green forest, an unusual blend that you've created very nicely with your wide-angle lens. I like the blue sky too and the cloud formations. Well done!
Kind regards, Ulla

Hello Pankaj,
I have that same lens. Isn't it fun. I love it. I like your image. That lens does magic things to clouds. It also has a very short minimum focal distance. I think something like 9 inches which allows for great, sharp, close foreground elements.

Evelynn : )

Nice shot Pankaj, I love the clouds, well done!

hi pankaj,
nice landscape, great clouds. i wish you could have concentrated more on the sky/clouds than on the water, which looks featureless. a hint of water would have been sufficient. tfs.

Hello Pankaj. Super framing in wide wide 10mmFL. Good choice of contrasting foreground and beautiful sky. Good land/sky separation and very well done. Regards. Jusni

Hi Pankaj.
Excellent work of wide angle lens and wonderful scene. Without your note I could not define what is it: sand or water. Excellent cropping and framing. I like wonderful composition of the image, nice pleasant colours and excellent details. My compliments and TFS.

Hi Pankaj,

I am enjoying your landscapes too! This one is beautiful in its simplicity. The layers of water, mountains and clouds are exquisite. Beautiful natural colors, gorgeous clouds in the sky, and I love the movement in the water.

My first thought was as if I was looking at the vast stretch of reddish brown sand in Saudi Arabia with a green hill in the background, Pankaj!
Then I realized it was not sand but water and not KSA but our own amazing country.
Bravo, you are using your wide angle like a professional now!!

Hello Pankaj,

So this is water!
At first I was convinced it is sand, but then I suppose the water contains an amount of mud anyway...
A finme composition and a good documentary!

How did I miss this one?! Here you had said and I relied that you had gone back to the standby macro, but this shows you have l;earned some real good lessons in landscapes...You are a quick person to learn...and not entirely from one person but from many yes? Thanks so much. I feel as though a big part of me is in your home country!

Hello Pankaj,
Hmm. Wildlife to Nature. Superb combination. Great lighting and excellent clarity. I like the sky and looks as if it is coming down. Perfect TFS Ganesh

Hello Pankaj,
I was looking forward to see more landscape photography from you. I'm referring to your latest post in which you were mentioning that you aren't successful in this 'kind' of photography. I guess the opposite is true. And it is just the beginning..
Do like the clouds here...

This is a very worthy contribution, Pankaj. So simple in its essential components -- and all the more charming because of it. The muddy water offers a perfect base for thie vivid green hills, and their serrated outlines, in turn, for the bank of clouds scudding in nicely shown three dimensionality against the azure sky.

Well done!

Hi Pankaj,
i see you have been busy with the 10-20mm! You've used it well here, a wonderful feeling of wide open space, very well exposed and superb natural colours - hope to see more from you and this lens!

Hi Pankaj,
Great use of the wide angle. It shows the vast open space of this beach. I like the simplicty of this photo with just three layers. As Evelynn mentioned the lens does do great things with could but that can also be a disadvantage since the sun can be hard to control. It looks like you got one little spot that is burned. The lens also allows for close FG elements. If you do have a option to return to this place, try moving a big log or brance with you and position it within the composition. It will give you lots of extra depth to play with.

Hi Pankaj!

You present us a beautiful landscape. I also believe it's a good subject for a panoramic view because it's composed with three horizontal layers: river, trees and sky. It's simple, yet effective and very pleasant.

Kind regards

Nicely composed landscape with balance of horizon and sky.

Dear Pankaj,
Grand image of the clouds with almost 3D effect. TFS.
PS: The polarising effect is phenomenal :)

Yes, this is my favourite shot of your series, Pankaj....it might have a striking resemblance to classic landscape shots seen many a time...but it becomes dearer to me when it soothes me the instant I look at it,when I know it was clicked by someone i know and that it is not some far away land that cannot be reached...this shot transferring the essence of tranquility and serenity into the viewer's heart straight away raises hopes in me that i can someday go see this place ...the clouds and the sunlight slipping through to create patterns of light and shade on river beneath is wonderful...Thanks for this beauty ...

Pankaj,can we have more please?
