[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This landscape/skyscape is dedicated to our dear TN members Iris (Silpa) and Annick Vanderschelden for liking my mediocre landscapes and asking for more landscapes. It gives a lot of satisfaction when our attempts to do something new is liked adn appericiated by someone.

Toaday it was quite cloudy and i decided to do some wide angle photography. This spot is located out of the city Raipur. The shot has been taken handheld using Sigma 10-20mm lens on Nikon D 80. Circular polariser was used.

These days the clouds look so beautiful and i would try to capture more shots of monsoon clouds. Your critiques and comments are most welcome.

Well a dozen things come to mind....the filter worked on reflecting in the water and deeply saturated without overdoing...and for some odd reason even though you are using a very wide angle lens there is no alterations in the perspective...I also like it when you do landscapes...this is one of your better ones as well.

Hi dear Pankaj ,
Very nice scenery.splendid and wonderful.
It has great compo and nice sharpness.
Lovely view.

TFS and regards

Hello Pankaj,
As I am not a landscape photographer my critique is of less value, but as I see it, it is necessary to use a wide angle lens, which is what you have done here. Not only that, but the composition is even more important than in other types of images, as more comes into play.
Here you have composed the clouds, water and vegetation in an attractive way to make this landscape very inviting for a bug/bird photographer like me, and that's what it's all about, isn't it!

Hello Pankaj! That's a fantastic landscape shot, great composition and beautiful reflections, the sky is awesome! Thanks!

Hi Pankaj
Beautiful. Great mirror effect, perfect exposure and very good sharpness. Also fantastic depth of view Nothing to critique
Best wishes

Hello Pankaj!
This is absolutely one of the most beautiful landscape pictures I have seen in TN last weeks! Beautiful colours and fantastic reflections! Clouds in the water looks really nice! Very nice composition too, I like panoramic view.
This is also a very nice dedication to our TN friends, I am sure they will like it :)
Greetings from Lodz,

Hi Pankaj,

Excellent photo.
Wonderful reflections.
Lighting and composition are fantastic.

Hello Pankaj
I like the way in which the clouds are reflected in the water and a like also the blue sky. TFS

Hello Pankaj,
A beautiful capture of these wetlands
The lens and polariser you used were perfect to bring out the mood of the sky.
It looks ever so slightly tilted a bit to the left. Its a stunning composition though.

Hi Pankaj,
It´s not a mediocre landscape, this is a fabulous one, I like the natural environment, plenty of plants; I like sky and reflections also,

Hello Pankaj,
First of all thanks a lot for the dedication.
Another very nice image. The photo is not only beautiful but also interesting.
Technically you used the wide angle and the polarizer very well. The result is a beautiful landscape somewhere in Chhattisgarh (still have to view the map) with a nicely saturated sky and its refection in the water.
Very good presentation as well.
Once again: Thanks a lot. Looking forward to view another landscape from India:-)

Hi Pankaj,

An exceptionally beautiful landscape with those magnificent clouds. We get to see them twice - in the sky and as reflections in the water. I love the composition with the leaves framing the picture.

Hello Pankaj,
This is a beautiful scenery that reminds me of our own wetlands. A very nice composition from a low POV showing some branches in the foreground that gives nice depth. I like the reflections of the clouds and the vegetation in the smooth water. Very sharp and the colours are natural and beautiful. Well done!

Pankaj, you have turned professional in landscape photography with this image.
What you have retained within the frame makes a fantastically balanced composition.
The sky reflected in the still waters and surrounded by greenery is the most attractive aspect of this landscape.
The image evokes a sense of peace and tranquillity in the beholder.
Congratulations and thanks for sharing this great image.

Dear Pankaj,
Apologies for my late response.*

Many many thanks for yet another delightful shot and a very thoughtful gesture.

The magnificent cloud-laden sky and its reflections provide a superb 3d effect.I love the settings below, the FG and the greenery especially gives me a deja vu....the shrubs and its leaves more familiar to the Indian landscape. The pattern of the thick rising white clouds afar adds a fine element to the whole scene.
I would say you are lucky to be living in the lap of nature, just the right place, to polish and shine your new found interest.Keep at it and do show us more of virgin India.

Warm regards

*-(My MTNL broadband connection is still not established at my new home and i have to rely on a very slow Vodafone internet connection.Hence, iam not able to frequent TN for the last few days.!!!)

Hi Pankaj
Fentastic picture, good composition and incredible sharpnes. Relaxing scennery, perfect in every way. I would change greens using ie curves in photoshop but it may be just up to persolal preference it could be my cheap monitor too.
