The Dragon Fly 02

I got to read some interesting comments on my last two postings of dragon flies. I liked them very much. I would like my friends to learn something from my images and my experience. I work lot on my backgrounds and many tech points depend on that. I don't show my subjects in focus completely, rather trying to create artistic images by way of compositions, light and colors. Sometimes I burn the highlights and/or hold details in the shadows to bring out the beauty of the nature subjects. I prefer not to capture 1:1 macro images which does not show the actual size of the subjects. I use space liberally too.
Here one more dragonfly captured using early morning sunlight coming from behind, focused the head and it may look soft because its covered with the wings of the dragonfly, used just enough depth to get the details and nothing else.
Hope this image will please everybody, your comments are precious to me, its your point of view.

I have added this one to my special symbolic use of sun. Your work with the lighting here is terrific. It makes the image.

Hello Nagraj,
A fine bit of photographic artistry using the light to create an image of extreme contrasts. Yet you depict this dragonfly with excellent sharpness and enough lighting for any knowledgeable person to ID it.
This is well composed and for me a delight to view.
Thank you!
best wishes,
Ivan

Hello Nagaraj,
A fine composition, and the macro work is well done!
The point of view leveling the insect works well, and the spot on DoF isolates the subject well...
Regards Siggi

Hi Nagaraj,

Nice macro shot against the sun.
The wing are though the light beautiful transparant coloured.
Great details and sharpness.

Gert

Such a beautiful image finely backlighted to sparkle the membraneus wings and a few body hairs Nagaraj, the darkish BG focuses the whole attention on the arrow straight insect with huge eyes... A superb image indeed!

Hi Nagaraj,
Outstanding shot of this dragonfly and the lighting is so dramatic. Gives such a superb effect with the black BG. Very impressive sharpness and perfect DOF. I like this simple but effective composition.

Hi Nagraj,

Another classic image with good use of light, the image stands out from near black back ground, well if you want friends at TN to understand your point of view for your images then you must specify so,other wise its up to the viewers point of view the critics will come.TFS.

Hello Nagaraj,
You managed so well with this special light falling on the dragonfly's wings. It looks almost like he would collect the sun-rays. Perfect dark background.
Well seen.
Thanks
