Black SHouldered Kite
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Friends,
This picture was taken at Hesarghatta lake. For the past few months, Hesarghatta has seen many raptores and Black shouldered is one of them.
One of the unique features of the Black-winged kite is its ability to hover on a stop to see the rodents before the catch. This hovering action is similar to the flights taken by the Kestrels.

This is the second picture of this kite in flight that i'm seeing today , as chandru's picture the position of the bird in the frame is amazing. This has that extra punch and a dreamy effect and i like it :-)

Excellent shot of the Kite in flight, Murali.
I have never been able to shoot a bird in flight.
The bird looks beautiful against the blue sky in your picture.
Thanks.
