On my way to Gurudongmar lake the land beyond Thangu, North Sikkim became absolutely desolate with beginning of the Himalayan rain-shadow zone of cold desert that merges with Tibetan plateau. The mountains were painted heavenly with the beautiful tones of colors reaching the altitude of almost 20,000 to 25,000 feet ASL. Surprisingly I could see snow on one the side of the peaks only with local yak population grazing in the open pastures located on the steep slopes.

I present you this peerless landscape for strange biodiversity India carries with its topography.

Hallo Subhash
What a wonderful landscape with wide open spaces. Very pleasant image with warm and rich colours. A definite peaceful and serene view. This is indeed a large piece of land, as far as one can look with the eye. The blue sky just peeping at the top of the mountain is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards
Anna

Hello Subhash! Wonderful landscape, wonderful long perspective. Nice natural light and colours. Good info. Interesting work. Well done!

Hy Subhash
This kind of landscape that I saw only on TV: impressive!
A strage lanscape for me: on the top of the mountains snow (water) but still desert. And the sky, without any clouds!
Well done and all the best,
Oana

This is a sight of the likes I have not fallen upon myself. It takes me to another place entirely which to me sounds a top YES.

Hello Subhash !
These lands look so dry, I wonder what the yacks are eating ! But even this naked desolation looks beautiful, in its own way, because I love the shape of these mountains. The little patches of snow are a nice bonus. Composition and POV are excellent. Very well done !
Valérie.
