Hello Friends,

This is a shot of a fairy duster just besides the Hebbal lake. They are one of my favourite subjects to take picture of. Very delicate and pretty. Here are few details of the flower and hope it,s useful

Scientific classification:

Kingdom: Plantae
Division: Magnoliophyta
Class: Magnoliopsida
Order: Fabales
Family: Fabaceae
Subfamily: Mimosoideae
Genus: Calliandra
Species: C. eriophylla
Binomial name: Calliandra eriophylla

The flowers, which appear between late winter and late spring, have dense clusters of pale to deep pink stamens and are about 5 cm wide. The shrub is usually between 20 and 50 cm high and has bipinnate leaves.

Alternative common names for this species include Mock Mesquite and Mesquitella.

Hi Pearl, you manage very well the sharpness of this pic also whitout the light of the sun, beatifuls colors and excellent point of view,my best compliments, have a nice day,LUCIANO

What a quaint term. Sounds a bit like something from Findhorn Garden in the British Isle where the group believes Divas and sprites are all around...another cute idea but these folks actually converse..I mean serious discourse...at least that is what they say...well presented Iris!

Hello Pearl !
This is a very strange flower, I love its shape, I had never seen anything like that before. Nice details, natural colors, great POV. It's a very interesting picture. Well done !
