A shot I clicked last year, which I dedicate to our in-flight shot king, CeltickRanger , our dear friend Asbed.

This, the Spotted Deer, known as Chital in Hindi, is the most common of the four deer species that live in the Jim Corbett National Park.I've mentioned in my earlier posts that it is this abundance of its natural prey that makes the Tiger thrive in this National Park, also the oldest Tiger Reserve in India. It also, by far, has the largest populations of both, the Tiger and the Leopard, in India. I request those of you that visit India going forward, to definately try to visit this National Park, the pride of Wildlife conservation in India, so that the tourism brings in sustenance for the locals, and thus, prevents them from getting into activities like poaching the big cats, gharials, magars, and elephants, among other endangered species.

The weather was gloomy, and it was pouring. Moments after this shot, as we waited in my SUV, a tiger attacked this herd, which was anyway immobile, or should I say stunned, by the downpour. The Tiger only succeeded in making it look more like 'Still Life', if I may!

I loved this entire experience, one of my closest Tiger moments.

Thanks for stopping by!

Simplemente impresionante Goldy; solo le faltó afinar un poco el enfoque :-) Veo que en La India la naturaleza es inmensa ya que nos estás mostrando especies que no sabía que también poblaran tu País.
Un abrazo: Josep Ignasi.

Hi Goldy,
superbs shot and excellent colourful world of deers. The lines and patterns of the animals, trees and surrounding is very captivating.
Well presented shot.

Hi Goldy,

The trees are framing well the deers. The point of view is allowing us to see the details and colors of the chital deers. It is sharp and clear. The light is giving a good contrast to the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Goldy,

Now that is a fine bunch, obviously curious about what is going on!
Lovely animals are well captured with fine details, the setting is impressive too...
