The seascape belongs to one of my most favorite points at Vasco da Gama, Goa. The place is situated at a hill and one gets to see a wide portion of coastal sea in a clear weather condition due to land's westerly projection into the sea close to Dabolim Intl Airport.
I had recently been to Goa & tried to get few shot of colorful sunset; unfortunately it was heavily clouded and what I could get to my best is posted today for you to enjoy....almost 20 mins before sunset. The clouded sky & sea both were in almost B&W tones instead.
I dedicate it to my friend Mario who was born at Goa and must be having this image into him somewhere down the memory lane..........Good night/morning. |

Hello Subhash,
I see we are neighbours!
I prefer this to a sunset, as we are always beguiled by the colours of the sunset without thinking about other aspects. A good sunset is as rare and as difficult to achieve as a really good landscape.
Here you have captured excellent lighting on the horizon with the greyness of the sea refecting the dramatic heavy cloud formation.
Well done and thanks,
All the best,
Ivan
so you're travelling quite a lot, Ranjan!
A superb shot form one of my favourite spots in Goa!
bravo!
Goldy
My "VERY" dear friend, Dr. Subhash Ranjan,
Can NEVER thank you enough, first for this kind dedication, and secondly for allowing me to RE-LIVE my past by this MOST OUTSTANDING image of my birthplace.
As Argus has said, I repeat his words, plus say that it is as if the ALMIGHTY is smiling on GOA.... THAT IS WHAT YOU HAVE CAPTURED.
MOST LOVELY INDEED!!!
Your grateful servant & "jathwallah" now residing in COLD COLD Canada,
Mario.
hello Subhash

Interesting POV! Love this shot with the spot light in the center and its a very good idea to convert this to a monochrome to cut away the distractions of colors
