Glorified in many mythological texts,these antelopes are unique to India.Adults males are dark brown to velvet black with white underbellies.Females and young are fawn above an white below.Found in open land,poaching and pressure from agriculturists have forced these beautiful animals into IUCN most vulnerable list.
