Thanks Ivan, for IDing this butterfly.

The Common Leopard Phalanta phalantha is a sun-loving butterfly of the Nymphalid or Brush-footed Butterfly family.
Today I got lucky, this one butterfly came and posed for at least 20 minutes for me, and the number of poses!
My model never seem to tire from posing for me!

As usual, I look forward to your help for the ID.

Converted from RAW using SilkyPix, PP in PS4 and Photoscape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Congratulations on catching this Leopard Goldy (these beasts can be dangerous):)).
This is a species of Leopard butterfly (Phalanta phalantha) captured with fine sharpness and colours to show most of its features while resting with the winga half open.
Thanks an kind regards,

Hello Goldy,
butterfly macro with your signature, which means neat and sharp!A nice low POV to admire the profile of this marvelous insect.

Well seen Goldy...again we have good use of the creature through a native Indians eye. Color is what India is all about. That and sweets eaten on special events. So here you pass along a great image and a bit of culture!

Dear Goldy!

I'm glad to notice that Ivan could help you to identify this beautiful butterfly. You present it well on focus with rich details. The picture is pleasant although the background is not ideal, especially concerning the bright spot.

Kind regards
