[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Shot them in the wilderness of Little Rann of Kutch at Gujarat. Kindly notice zebra pattern stripes on the legs of few of these wild asses. They are fast runners in the Rann. A rare species of Asiatic Ass is only found in this part of the world.

Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary also known as the Wild Ass Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Little Rann of Kutch in the Gujarat state of India. Spread over 4954 km˛, it is the largest wildlife sanctuary in India.
The wildlife sanctuary was established in 1972 and came under the Wildlife Protection Act of 1973. The sanctuary is one of the last places on earth where the endangered wild ass sub-species Indian Wild Ass (Khur) (Equus hemionus khur) belonging to Asiatic Wild Ass species Onager (Equus hemionus) can be spotted.

Hello Subhash !
Wow, this is an animal we do not see very often on TN ! I love the way they are all standing in a line, looking at you with pointed ears. As far as I know, they are very shy animals, it's very difficult to get close to them, so I have to congratulate you on being able to get this shot ! Very well done !

Hi Subhashjee,

I feel that you might have lots of stay and run exercise to catch this image because these Indian Wild Ass are very sensitive to let you have any image.

Best wishes,
