[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This picture of an unknown species of Fungi was taken at my native place in the mountains of India way back in August of 2006. It grew in an alpine forest at an altitude of about 6000 ft.
Unfortunately, my knowledge about Fungi is rather scanty. As such, I cannot ID it.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Ram.
Nice 3D-presentation of an attractive fungi. I also do not know ID. Moreover I have only one fungi picture at all. You are more rich person :). Excellent exposure, nice colours, great sharpness. My compliments and TFS.

Hello Ram,
A very beautiful capture from your archives showing a fungus that looks more like a flower!! A beautiful composition with the subjects standing out very sharply. Beautiful light and a fine natural background too.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hallo Ram
How beautiful is this fungi that reminds me of the sun. The detail and colours are seen with great clarity and especially the texture of the fungi is beautifully seen. The inclusion of the environment makes this image extra special. It is a great macro and one you should be proud of as I would have been if it was mine. Thanks for sharing. Best regards. Anna

Hello Ram,

I can see you are still around, great!

And this is a fine mushroom capture, the colours are well collected and makes the subject really stand out in the green surroundings...
Pin sharp details in this fine close-up!

Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Ram !
It may ba a fungi, but it looks like a flower ! :-) I like how the hat is split to shape 4 identical parts, like the petals of a flower - it is so beautiful and unusual... I also like the colors, vivid yellow and different nuances of green. Excellent details, perfect POV, and I like that you have kept the second fungi on the picture, it givesd us an idea about what a "normal" fungi looks like. Very well done !
Valérie.

Hi Ram,
I like it that you kept the unfocused in the composition. It created extra depth which would otherwise not be there.
The point down approuch is very interesting. The sharpness and clarity are both wonderful. Maybe a little hot in some of the white areas.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Ram,
By my opinion the composition's good with the unfocused 2nd fungus in the right side - but you should have taken the grass-blade off of the cap. Fruitbodies seem a bit damaged, but at least we can see the flesh didn't change color after breaking. I think it's Amanita citrina (Pers.) Pers., although not seeing the ring and the stem basis, I can't be totally sure. A nice and interesting pic.
Best regards, László

Hi Ram,
this is such a lovely top view of these yellow fungi. The dramatic composition is pleasant and well thought. How the little earth on the caps gives a genuine view and sense of surroundings.
The green mosses add colour contrast to your composition.
Exciting view.

Foozi
