[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Shot them moving on the steep mountain cliff-side on my way very close to Tso Moriri lake ahead of Chumathang. They were moving very confident on the rocks with deep gorges at an altitude very close to 15,000 feet above sea level.

The most common and wide spread of the sheep in the Ladakh region is the bharal or the blue sheep (Pseudois nayaur). Found at an altitude of almost 6,000 meters, in summer they graze in huge herds on the rich and abundant grasses of the alpine meadows. Their brownish-gray coloring provides them with protective camouflage and as they often stand motionless they can be extremely difficult to spot but, when alarmed, bharal will bolt swiftly to safety. Strangely, bharal seems to bear some morphological traits of both sheep and goats.

i also love photos when i see babies with
parents wild animals like on your photo,
they are superbly camouflaged with their environment,

You are in the right place at the right time. Thanks for sending me most beatiul image. If I have another round, I hope it will be among those people ho climb as these creatures...I want to be a sanyasin,,,,,,high in the K2 range....please to read "three cups of tea" a book I love by a local man.

Hello Subhash,
One of the wonderful images from you, I just loved the habitat you have included for this wild sheep, I had seen Nilgiri Thars in south India [Kerala/Munnar]the wild goats so comfortably walk along the dangerous cliff, its amazing and yes their confidence is beyond imagination...I think these are mother & young ones.TFS.

Snakes frighten me, Subhash, so I have chosen another great picture for my return critique. This theme is close to my heart; I have personally seen these nimble-footed animals negotiating almost vertical cliff faces in the mountains.
A superb shot apparently taken from a distance. The family seem to be very content with their natural environs.
