[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While flying back from New Delhi to Jammu this afternoon, I opted for a window seat with the purpose of taking pictures of Zanskar Himalayas. Unfortunately, Himalayan mountains usually get wrapped up in thick clouds in the afternoon even though it is all sunny elsewhere and that is exactly what happened today. Only the lower parts of some massifs covered in snow were visible here and there. As a result, I had to be content with the shots of clouds surrounding the mountains until a double wedge of dark rocks suddenly appeared looming over the cloud bank. I took one or two quick shots of it and then packed up my gear. On reaching home at 2 p.m., I immediately transferred the raw pics on to my computer and started editing. After cropping off the picture heavily because half of the frame was gobbled up by the plane wing outside the window, this is the picture that emerged. It is certainly flawed by many limitations including shooting through the window of a plane, but I thought I might as well share it here on TN. It was taken about three and a half hours ago. Hope you will find it of some interest.
Thanks for looking.

Hi Ram.
I live in Ukrainian steppe and saw the mountains in Crimea and Caucasus from very far distance. Your wonderful shot brings me nearer to these wonderful mountains. Amazing scene, refined reproduction of impressive clouds, superb and pleasant details of the entire image as well as nice colours. Thanks a lot and best regards.
Alexei.

A breathtaking image of a majestic peak well exposed Ram, the general blue & white colouration improves the mood and tranquility of the scene greatly. Thanks for sharing this fine scene my friend.
