[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is taken in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. When I shot this photograph I noticed that the mother elephant did not charge unlike in a situation when there is one more member in the Group and the third member usually charges. During this interaction the mother elephant did not charge because the calf would be left all alone if she charges as she has to leave her calf behind and there won't be any other member to look after her or the third member would charge and the mother would take care of the calf. My observations.

Hi Sidhhartha,

A nice cuddly baby elephant. Good thing that you have shown the mom behind the calf. From your met data I see you used the WB of cloudy, whereas, I could see the distinct shadow of the baby. This might be the reason of the slight yellow tinge of the frame.

Best Regards,
