Blistering warm summer sun
over my head, killing silence
around me; hiding behind a thicket
waited patiently for her to show up.
Hours slipped by, patient at fray within,
Heart depressed, mind slithered to
curse mode, “What a waste”
I cried aloud.
Lo! Then came that faint sweet sound of
her melodic voice from afar,
she an Hawk-cuckoo bird rare
to stumble on, so dear; now,
nothing to grumble upon.
This is me, at my crazy mumbling self - whine
and crying a minute; winning an’ smiling the next.
