[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
one year back, i was dying to get a 'clear' shot of any Fantail. they being so restless and spending the whole day in dense bushes, it was very difficult to photograph them. not to forget the mosquito bites. and now, out of continuous practice, after one year, i think i have got their frequency. now i can tune. i can synchronize myself with their fast movements. almost :)

second dream. more tough. to photograph a Fantail with its tail spread like a fan. here it is! my first shot of that kind. after one year. thank you, mother Nature! :)

today i missed some White-eyed Flycatchers, a Verditer Flycatcher and some Monarchs. this is the second day i missed them (got blurred). but i keep on telling myself "never mind Ruby, if it can be a Fantail, why not them? someday dear, someday".
yes, someday i'm going to get myself tuned in with them too. can you wait for that day? with me? this time it may not take one year... or who knows? :)

now the photograph. i wish if the background of the subject could be lighter, i.e., in contrast of the dark colour of the subject. but, who's going to give me sooooo much scope? mother Nature? no, i don't bug Her for scopes. i believe in keeping patience. it works.

Hello Ruby,
Great photo of this White-throated Fantail in a very nice pose with eye contact. Very sharp in beautiful natural colours. Good composition.

A photograph by Ruby Sarkar ...you can be proud of that image girl! ....just look a bit more carefully about the white balance! otherwise ...splendid!
