[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I fund this Munia playing hide & seek with me on my recent trip to Garpanchkot located in Purulia district, West Bengal.
I first saw this Munia perched nereby its nest on a tree. It flew away the moment I tried to focus the camera & sat on the edge of a mango tree branch...

These are widespread rewsidents of India... Adults have chestnut brown face, plumage & upper breast.. The underparts have bold scaly pattern of black & white. Has typical tik-tik-tik followed by series of whistles...

Found in open forests, bushes & cultivation.
