Looks like this fellow is nesting within a coconut palm tree.

Hello Joy,
What a nice presentation! Great choice of vertical composition with a part of the tree and the sky in the background. Beautiful natural colours in fine sharpness.
Enjoy the weekend,

Hi Joy,truly nice this capture of this owlet watching the world from this tree,a minimalistic and original capture made with the usual top quality,i like it!Have a nice weekend and thanks,Luciano

This Owlet seems to be very content with the hole in the tree for a residence, Joydeb. :)
Good capture with the bird staring back at you with a curious expression on its face.
The white parts in the picture are a bit over-exposed though.

Hello Joydeb,

Hope you are well, my Indian neighbour.I have missed commenting on your excellent shots a number of times and as I often say, it is inadvertent thing and busy schedule is usually the culprit.Hope you'll forgive me for this.
This is a classic shot of this spotted owlet in the trunk of hopefully a palm tree. The eye-contact is good, for it seems it did not have a chance to fly away and before doing that, you have captured it for good like those scenes in Keats' ode The Grecian Urn.
Thanks a lot for sharing an exquisite little shot, take care,

warm regards/Abid

Hello Joy

Beautiful photo of the Spotted Owlet in its hole, fine frontal POV
obtaining its glance, appropriate vertical framing, beautiful soft color tones, TFS

Bonjour Joydeb,
Il me semble que la profondeur de champ ne soit pas suffisante mais le sujet est relativement bien valorisé dans une attitude originale.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
