[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One of my favorite birds, the Sarus Crane (Grus antigone antigone) is also the worlds' tallest flying bird standing at approximately 185 cm with a wingspan of about 250 cm. Legend has it in India, which happens to be among the last existing habitats of this beautiful bird, that the presence of this bird ensures a good harvest.
The sad part is that their population has dwindled to less than 3% of their numbers in the 1850s.

Thanks for stopping by!!

You have captured this giant of a bird in a very elegant posture as it wades through shallow water, Goldy.
That spot of red on its upper body is really beautiful.
I'm worried to know about its dwindling population, though.
Thanks for staying on and sharing another lovely picture.

Hello Goldy,
Nice photo of this Sarus Crane. Not in the best details, a bit overexposed, but the colours are beautiful and the composition very good.

Hi Goldy,

The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the détails and the colors of the Sarus Crane. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
