[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The first insects to make their appearance in spring here in India are Hoverflies and Honey Bees. It was a sunny day today after 2 days of heavy rain, so I went around the school gardens this morning to look for them.
I found a few species of Hoverflies and some small sized Honey Bees.
Seeing that the Bees were having fun collecting pollen from poppy flowers, I decided to try my hand at capturing them in flight while they hovered over these flowers. I took quite a few satisfactory shots and here is one of them.
I was using my Sigma macro 105mm from close range and was thus able to get a decent focus on these two Bees still in flight but soon landing within the core of the flower.
Hope you like them.

Hello Ram,
A nice inflight shot of these two Honey Bees as they come to check out the bright red Poppy bloom. Wonderful focus on both flower and bees, although the bottom bee is just tad less sharp then the top one. The texture of the poppy petals have an interesting crinkled look to them, unlike the ones I've seen here in Ohio. White balance appears perfect as colors are rendered true and natural. Love the overall composition and exposure. A little noise in BG which can easily be removed.

Guten Abend Ram,
A very colorful picture! And the chance to have caught two flying bees attracted by this red poppy-flower.
So glad to see that you are still here too. I was absent for different reasons. One was that I had problems with my eyes and couldn't look at the screen for longer time. That seems to be ok now.
Yes, I hope too to be present more from now on. I have quite a lot of unidentified subjects, but I wonder if there is still somebody around to help with the ID.
Mit herzlichen Grüssen
Anne

Bonjour Ram,
Que faut-il apprécier le plus, les abeilles ou la fleur ?
Quelque soit la réponse c'est une très belle publication finement détaillée et délicatement colorée.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
Gérard
