I have captured this "Telostylinus Lineolatus" species in our yard.

IN THIS PHOTOGRAPH THE HEAD OF THE SPECIES LOSES ITS AESTHETICS BECAUSE OF MERGING/ALIASING ISSUES.
*****************************************************************

But I am going to post it because I didn't get any chance to click second time and it's a rare species here in TN, as well as a new species in my gallery too.

* Nariidae, is a family of true flies(Diptera) closely related to the Micropezidae. Some species are known as Cactus flies while others have been called Banana flies and the family was earlier treated as subfamily of the Micropezidae which are often called "Stilt-legged flies".

* Like the Micropezidae, they have long legs and are found in damp or rotting vegetation where. They however differ in having a significant reduction of the forelegs as seen in the Micropezidae.

* There are about 100 species in 20 genere.

Hello Srikumar,
What an unusual and interesting looking species of fly, I have never seen one quite like it. Tac sharp focus displaying excellent detail and the colors are well saturated yet natural. Exposure couldn't be any better. A real eye catcher!!
