Junonia almana, the peacock pansy, is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South Asia. It exists in two distinct adult forms which differ chiefly in the patterns on the underside of the wings; the dry-season form has few markings while the wet-season form has additional eye-spots and lines.
J. almana is found in India and South East Asia, and eastwards to China and Japan.

Hello Ram,
What a stunning specimen you have presented today. The vivid colors and intricate markings on your Peacock Pansy are simply gorgeous. Tac sharp focus allowing us to view it in exceptional detail. Love the natural lighting and overall framing. Almost has a 3D Effect.

Hello Mr. professor Ram Thakur,
It is really a splendid colorful butterfly. Amazing sharpness and excellent clarity. Outstanding colors. The light and details are great. It is a pleasure viewing this photo. I like also the contrast against the grey background.
Thanks for sharing!

What a beautiful photograph! There is something very unusual about this image, with the strikingly sharp butterfly suspended above what looks like an artwork. The result is really something special. Well done :)
