Female Scarlet Skimmer is golden yellow in colour and is found frequently in my region. The male is scarlet red and lends the name to the species. The male is elusive and seen infrequently.

Hello Ram,
What an eye catching dragonfly image you have presented to us. Very interesting that the male is red while the female is this beautiful golden yellow color. The pose is wonderful, giving us a great look at head. wings and body. Focus is tac sharp displaying excellent detail. I really like the reflective lighting on it's wings.
